Toastmaster: Rachel Huynh
Meeting #356 was a riveting meeting with an amazing turnout of 7 visitors on the night. The visitors on the night were Bikram, Neil, AJ, Robert, Inna, Hussein and Dennis. Dennis is from a Toastmasters Club in Sydney and Robert is from CPA Toastmasters in the city.
The theme of the night was “We are What We Eat”. Our Toastmaster, Rachel Huynh, had introduced each member to the stage by stating their favourite food and how their favourite food represents them as a person. It was great to hear everyone’s favourite dishes.
The night followed on with Sze Howe Koh who gave us the brilliant word, “toothsome”, which tied in with the night’s theme.
Lovely speeches were prepared by Sveta Ostrovsky (Speech #4), Sander Huijsen (Speech #2) and Barbara Harrison (Speech#10). Keep up the great speeches!
Luan Duong our, Table Topics Master, gave the audience difficult, but very interesting table topics to tackle. Such questions were, “what are the 11 secret herbs and spices in the KFC chicken”.
We finished the night with the office bearer elections and results were Matt Griggs (President), Ann Cullen (VPM), Sean Gomes (VPE), Rachel Huynh (VPPR), Paul Hemmings (Treasurer), Kim Walters (Secretary) and Barbara Harrison (Sergeant at Arms).
